Randy Couture, aka Randy "The Natural" Couture, is a retired American MMA fighter from Roseburg, Oregon. Couture holds a black belt in Neil Melanson's Submission wrestling System and is a Greco Roman wrestler. Couture served in the U.S. Army from 1982-1988 where he wrestled and boxed. He later went on to wrestle at Oklahoma State, where he was an All-America and two-time NCAA runner-up at 190 pounds. Randy Couture made his UFC debut at UFC 13 in Augusta, GA on May 30, 1997, where he won twice in one night to win the UFC Heavyweight Tournament Bracket. Couture became the first UFC fighter to hold a title belt in two different weight classes (Heavyweight and Light Heavyweight). Couture's last fight took place at UFC 129 on April 30, 2011 against Lyoto Machida, where he was defeated in the 2nd round via a legendary crane kick KO. Today Randy Couture is head trainer at Xtreme Couture Mixed Martial Arts in Las Vegas, which he founded in 2006.
